System Function

Forward Collision-avoidance Assist (FCA) : Detects the risk factors on the road and warns the driver and activates the emergency brake system to prevent collision or to reduce collision speed.

FCA-JT (Junction Turning) : Controls braking in the event of a collision risk with an approaching vehicle from opposite sides in an junction left turn.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) : Detects unintentional lane departure and assists the driver to stay in the lane by using audible alarms and MDPS steering control.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW) : The system analysis driving patterns and displays message in cluster along with audible alarm.

High Beam Assist (HBA) : Detects head lamp and tail lamp lights of the vehicle ahead and turns the high beams ON/OFF.

System Limitations

This system monitors the driving situations through the radar and the camera. Thus, for a situation out of the sensing range, the system may not operate normally.

The System may be limited when :

The camera is restricted with a foreign object or debris.

The camera lens is contaminated due to tinted filmed or coated windshield, damaged glass, or stuck with foreign matter (sticker, bug, etc.) on the glass.

Inclement weather such as heavy rain or snow obscures the field of view of the camera.

The target in front is too small to be detected

The vehicle in front is an oversize vehicle or trailer that is too big to be detected by the camera recognition system (for example a tractor trailer, etc.).

The camera's field of view is not well illuminated (either too dark or too much reflection or too much backlight that obscures the field of view)

The vehicle in front does not have their rear lights ON or their rear lights are located in an unsual location (modified).

The windshield glass is fogged up and the clear view of the road has been obstructed.

The camera is damaged.
