When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective
tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.

Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
|
|
• |
Be careful not to damage the trim and panel.
|
• |
Take care not to damage the paintwork of the body.
|

1. |
Remove the rear door pillar trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "Rear Pillar Trim")
|
2. |
Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the C Pillar garnish (A).

|
3. |
Loosen the mounting nuts and remove the quarter fixed glass (A).
Tightening torque :
3.9 - 4.4 N.m (0.4 - 0.45 kgf.m, 2.9 - 3.3 lb-ft)

Cut the quarter fixed glass sealant using a cutter knife.

Using a knife, scrape the remaining sealant around the body panel leaving
about 2mm-thick sealant (0.0079 in.).marks on the quarter fixed glass and
the body.
If the paintwork is damaged, apply a repair paint or an antiseptic.

Clean the edges of the body panel and the quarter fixed glass.
|
3. |
Apply a body primer to the edge of the body panel.

Be careful not to touch the surface covered with the
primer because touching it may lead to water leaks after
installing the windshield glass.
|

|
Do not apply the body primer to the glass.
|
•
|
Remove any foreign materials from the primer-covered
surface.

4. |
Install the quarter fixed glass (A).

5. |
Refit the quarter fixed glass mounting nuts.
Tightening torque :
3.9 - 4.4 N·m (0.4 - 0.45 kgf·m, 2.9 - 3.3 lb·ft, 34.7 - 39.1
lb·in)

6. |
Install the C Pillar garnish (A).

7. |
Install the rear door pillar trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "Rear Pillar Trim")
