Removal |

Release the parking brake. |
2. |
Remove the crash pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Lower Panel") |
3. |
Disconnect the parking brake switch connector (A).

4. |
Remove the floor console assembly. (Refer to Body - "Floor Console Assembly") |
5. |
Separate the parking brake cable (B) from the Equalizer assembly (A).
|
6. |
Remove the parking brake cable after loosening the mounting nut (A) and bolts (B).
|
7. |
Loosen the bolts and then removing the parking brake pedal assembly.

Installation |
1. |
Install in the reverse order of removal. |
2. |
After the installation, check the operation status of the parking brake and brake switch. |
Adjustment |
After disassembling/assembling the caliper body or replacing the caliper, parking brake cable or brake disc, re-adjust the parking brake. |

Remove the floor console to adjust the adjustment nut of the parking brake. |
2. |
Release the parking brake pedal completely so that the parking brake cable is loosened. |
3. |
For the brake pad to locate on the normal operation position, depress the brake pedal halfway several times until the brake pedal gains resistance. |
4. |
Fasten the adjusting nut and tighten the parking brake cable until the sum of distance (A and D) from the stopping point to the activating lever (B) and to stopper (C) is less than 3 mm.

Install the floor console assembly. (Refer to Body - "Floor Console Assembly") |
6. |
Make sure that the parking brake pedal is completely loosened. |
7. |
When the parking brake cable is replaced, operate the parking brake several times with maximum force to extend the parking brake cable and adjust the cable according to the above procedure. |
8. |
Check whether the wheel operates smoothly. |
9. |
Perform driving test. |
