Kia Optima DL3: Driving your vehicle / Automatic transmission
1.Carry the smart key or place it inside the vehicle. 2.Make sure the parking brake is firmly applied 3.Place the transmission shift lever in P (Park).
The automatic transmission has 6 forward speeds and one reverse speed. The individual speeds are selected automatically, depending on the position of the shift lever.

Repair procedures Replacement 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the heater and blower assembly. (Refer to Heater - "Heater Unit") 3. Loosen the mounting screws, lock pin and remove the evaporator core cover (A).
